Deputy Director of Sustainable Economic Development
Md. Kamal Uddin is an expert in Community Development, Leadership Development, Microfinance program and Training. He has completed his Bachelor (Hons.) and Masters in Social Science from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is currently the Deputy Director of Friendship’s Sustainable Economic Development sector. Mr. Kamal has a wide range of practical experience of over 25 years in Microfinance and Training & Development with ASA, Caritas and BRAC. He has been awarded licenses from UNDP – Micro-start program, UNDP Philippines, Microfinance Management Institute of USA, Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok, Thailand. He is a certified Master Trainer of Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), Institute of Microfinance (InM), Bangladesh, and Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok, Thailand. He has published different manuals and publications on microfinance mostly related to operations, management, product design and business planning. Aside from Bangladesh, he also worked in Thailand, Philippines, Nepal, China, Italy and Germany for training and consultancy.
